Queer Care Club is a regular therapeudic social group that now meets weekly on Thursday lunchtime. Each QCC session includes a small somatic movement practice, tea & light snacks, and wholesome queer fellowship.

Queer Trauma Sensitive Movement is a weekly class that runs in 10-week blocks (with a fortnightly, 5-week option). The classes provide a space for reconnecting into the body and are suitable for all abilities and physical capacities. The class provides space to explore present moment experiences, interoception, choice-making, and shared authentic experiences. Both private (you put together the group) and public (we put together the group) options are available. For more information or to express interest, send us an email at theTcottagebrisbane@gmail.com or follow us on Facebook or Instagram for upcoming class announcements!

Mental Health & Therapy Services are provided by Tobi. Tobi is an accredited social worker and certified TCTSY practitioner (a somatic trauma therapy modality) with 5+ years of experience working in mental health within the queer and trans community. They practice from the anti-oppressive tradition of social work, centring our experiences and struggles in the broader systems of power we live within. Tobi has a particular interest in somatic (body-based) trauma therapies, helping heal the physiological and nervous system damage caused by trauma, including acute trauma (one-off traumatic events) complex and developmental trauma (accumulated trauma throughout the course of a life, usually starting in childhood), and systems trauma (trauma arising from living as a marginalised person under oppressive systems). They also offer gender counseling to trans and questioning folks who need a little support on their journeys. Book a session here or contact us at theTcottagebrisbane@gmail.com for more info.
